Only training providers approved by L&GNSW can conduct NSW competency card training, including Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) and Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling (ARCG), and Licensee and Advanced Licensee Training.
Use the ATP search and mapping tool below to find a provider who delivers NSW competency card training in your local area or online.
If you already hold a competency card, you do not need to complete the full course again. Your expiry date is on the front of your NSW competency card. If we have your email or mobile number, we will notify you 90 days before your competency expires that you need to complete an online refresher course. If you don’t receive the 90-day reminder, you should contact us so we can update our records and give you access to the refresher course.
You can update your contact details online on the Service NSW website and check the NSW Competency cards page for more information.
L&GNSW does not regulate fees charged for training courses. Course fees can vary between providers. Before you purchase a course, you should check that the fees and the way the course is delivered suits your needs. Use the tool below to check each provider’s website or contact them directly for fees and course availability.
Alert: RSA courses provided by non-approved training providers
Beware of RSA-type courses offered by training providers that are not approved by L&GNSW to conduct the NSW RSA competency card training and issue certificates.
These courses are not recognised by L&GNSW and will not allow you to obtain the NSW RSA Competency Card required to work in the industry. Ensure you carefully check course details and provider credentials before enrolling in a course.
